Dance Floor Rental Information

Helpful Information: Our Dance Floor Rentals are built out of 3×3′ panels, designed to follow the contour of the ground they are installed on. This means that if the surface is grass, your floor may not be totally flat. This is actually a benefit to you! A completely flat floor, installed on an uneven surface will rock, similar to a table with an uneven leg. Additionally, because the floor can contour to the ground along the edge, you have fewer steep ledges that create trip hazards if there is a few inches of gap. This means the floor may not look entirely flat if the ground it is on isn’t flat. Please select your installation site accordingly. Things like patchy lumps of grass are enough to create a peak in the floor. If you would like to discuss your installation site with our office in advance we welcome you to email photos, even before you book the floor.
Selecting a dance floor size for your event can feel intimidating. We have a helpful sizing chart on our website, but this is only a starting point! A more active crowd or a reception with lots of dancing may wish to size up, while an event that is more quiet may wish to size down. Feel free to discuss your vision with our office if you want additional assistance with sizing. Floors can be used in square or rectangle configurations, but “L” shaped floors aren’t possible because of the edging we install around the border.
We don’t recommend using this floor as an entire tent floor, or as a stage. Pole tent center poles should never be installed on top of our dance floor. If you are using the tent in a pole tent, the dance floor will need to fit between the center poles, and shouldn’t be wider than half the width of the tent.
This floor is incredibly durable and is safe to use outside, uncovered. Rain or spilled beverages will not harm the floor, however a wet floor IS very slippery, and you should plan to notify your guests accordingly to prevent slips and falls.
Delivery Information: Our team will install your dance floor. Please ensure the site is prepared with mowed grass, pet waste picked up, and the ground leveled to your satisfaction. We require someone with decision making power to be on site during the installation of the floor to advise our team about placement, and to be able to help with backup site selection if the primary site isn’t flat enough. This person should stay to the end of the installation to approve the floor. If we arrive to the site and nobody is present, our team will not be able to install the floor and a secondary delivery fee will be charged to come back out. After installing the floor, our team will mop to leave it shiny and clean! Note, walking on the floor between installation and the event start may leave footprints, if the surrounding ground is dusty or muddy.
Pick Up Information: Customers should NOT tear down their own dance floors without prior training by A to Z staff. A to Z will tear down the dance floor in the proper increments when we return for pick up. If your floor does get torn down before our scheduled pick up, and is torn down incorrectly, labor fees to fix this will be charged to the card on file. Damage fees may also be charged if the floor is broken by the customer during an unauthorized break down.
Replacement Values: Floor panels: $85 per panel, $65 per sub-floor section, $12 per missing edging piece.
